To preserve and store freshly roasted coffee beans and maintain and enhance that flavour as long as possible, we usually recommend you  store them in an opaque, air-tight container at room temperature. You should try and avoid clear canisters which will allow light to compromise the taste of your coffee. Keep your beans in a dark and cool location like the bottom of a drawer or pantry where temperature variations are minimal

While It is generally considered safe it is not ideal to store coffee in the freezer even it  if it is stored in a vacuum-sealed package be aware freezing  may change the structure of your freshly roasted coffee beans and make a perfect espresso grind more difficult to achieve

To keep your fresh coffee beans fresher and full of flavour for longer store your hand roasted coffee  at room temperature in a dark, cool, dry space like at the bottom of a pantry it may be convenient to keep a canister of coffee beans next to your  coffee machine or on a kitchen benchtop but that’s probably the worst place to store your coffee try a dark kitchen drawer instead

And finally as a general rule to store roasted coffee beans or freshly ground coffee The best way to keep ground coffee is to store the coffee on a pantry shelf and always in an opaque airtight container away from light, heat, and moisture your coffee will last longer and taste fresher until the end of the coffee bag
